History Jon Colin Graham Darren Paul Gear

Formed in September 2000, UNTAMED fused together five of the finest Rock/Metal musicians from the Cambridgeshire & Northamptonshire counties. With a profound music history, playing on, in and around the pub and club circuit for years prior to the metal roller coaster to which they were about to embark - one of their earliest gigs was supporting "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" (an awesome Sabs tribute band) in April 2001.

As UNTAMED put their hard-hitting covers show on the road, the reception by an ever increasing army of fans within the first few months was so great that the band decided the time was right to start creating their own songs and identity.

In the summer of 2001, UNTAMED were in the studio recording nine of their own compositions aided by the likes of Andy Hawkins at Five Mile High Studios in Peterborough, England (their home turf). Andy managed to capture and reproduce the band's live energy and raw power on the debut CD "Nature's Messiah", which was released in January 2002 and incidentally had airings on Star FM, Lite FM and Caroline radio stations.

September 2001 saw UNTAMED filling the support slot for "Dressed To Kill", the UK's No.1 Kiss tribute band, at "The Metropolis Lounge" in Peterborough.

During 2002, 2003 Untamed continued to play endless shows promoting "Nature's Messiah" and generally building up a fan-base in the Cambs/Northants areas.

2004 was an eventful year for UNTAMED; in April of this year, the band shared the stage with the legendary "Tygers Of Pan Tang", "Dumpy's Rusty Nuts", "The Quireboys" and "Oliver/Dawson Saxon" at the "Celtic Warriors" 11th Birthday Bash, Godmanchester, UK. On July 23rd UNTAMED supported "Dumpy" at "The Underworld" London and then "Oliver/Dawson Saxon" again on December 10th at "Club XS" in Kettering, UK.

In February 2005, UNTAMED were asked, along with other local bands, to perform at Peterborough's "Rock-Relief" at The Broadway Theatre, for UNICEF's Tsunami Disaster Fund.

August 2005 saw an unprecedented 2 hour interview with Jon Sampson, and airing of Nature's Messiah in it's entirety on KHFX RADIO in the States.

March 2006 saw UNTAMED join forces again with Andy Hawkins to record their second CD "Insanity Bound", this time at Pravda Studios in Leeds, England. Their maturing, dynamic song writing takes shape in these eight new power-riffed metal gems. Released in June 2006, "Insanity Bound" is being received well and, along with "Nature's Messiah", still rattles your neighbours - and your own windows!!

January 2007, Miles leaves the band. This was something he felt he had to do, and UNTAMED wish him all the best for the future, in whatever venture he undertakes. The band are now faced with a choice - to wait for a new guitarist or to continue as a 4 piece... UNTAMED decide to continue playing as a 4 piece and in April of the same year they announce new Guitarist - Darren Macer, who is only 18 but hugely talented for the number of years he has been playing. At his first gig Darren plays an absolute blinder and revitalizes the band's "full" sound once more!
